GNRT BOOTCAMP: DAY 5 SUMMARY

On Sunday, the day before our departure from Bootcamp, the challenge was another round of basketball, but with slightly modified rules. The teams remained the same as the previous day. Our coach announced that during the trials, from 5:00 to 5:30 p.m., the team with the highest score would multiply their final points by 1.5, while the second-highest team would have their points multiplied by 1.2. This motivated teams to fine-tune any issues with their robots from the previous day and compete for the bonus.

After the trials, the two teams that earned the bonuses performed well in the competition, tying in the final standings. Following the matches, we had dinner, and the coach announced that a swimmer would be speaking to us at 8:30 p.m.

The swimmer shared his experiences, emphasizing that starting a sport professionally comes with many challenges, but perseverance is key. He encouraged us to push through difficulties and reminded us that tough days are inevitable but should not discourage us. His speech was met with applause, and we thanked him for his inspiring words.

Shortly after, the coach announced that the final challenge the next day would be another round of basketball with the same rules. However, this time, team members would be shuffled to create new groups. After the announcement, we were told there would be a small party where we could share our favorite moments from the past five days and discuss any concerns.

The party lasted an hour and a half, after which we returned to our rooms. Some of us played UNO in the living room, while others simply relaxed and chatted.
