GNRT BOOTCAMP: DAY 1 SUMMARY
On the first day after the national team arrived, we gathered in the auditorium, where the schedule for the next five days was announced. At noon, we had lunch in the cafeteria, followed by an hour of rest in our rooms. Afterward, our mentor instructed us to wear one of our national T-shirts for a group photo and head back to the auditorium for the day’s challenge.
The challenge was to create an advertisement. We were divided into small groups, each assigned a different product to advertise. We had an hour and a half to complete the task and submit it via email to be reviewed and rated later in the evening. Each group was further divided into three departments: mechanical, programming, and creative. The mechanical team worked on building the robot, the programming team handled the planning, and the creative team wrote a three-page booklet, covering the mechanical aspects, programming, and team strategy.
The creative department was also responsible for organizing a group photo, taking two additional photos of the robot or team members, and creating a post to submit as part of the deliverables. After the challenge briefing, we had dinner and were given the option to spend additional time reading or reviewing code before bed. This concluded the first day.
